Can I buy tickets online?
Yes, and they can be purchased here.
Why haven't we received our tickets?
When you buy a ticket on the webshop, it can take up to 10 minutes before they are sent. If it takes longer than this, there may have been an error, so please contact the office on +45 9631 2929
I bought my ticket online, do I need to print it before I arrive?
No, you don't need to print the ticket if you can show the ticket with a barcode on your phone. Help us at the entrance by having your ticket ready before you get to the cashier.
Annual pass
When does my annual pass expire?
Your annual pass is active from the date of purchase up to and including the same day next year. You can check the expiration date of your annual pass by entering your card number here.
How do I renew my annual pass?
You can always renew your annual pass in the Zooshop when you visit or by signing up for automatic renewal here.
How do I get my annual pass on my phone?
When you register as an annual pass holder, you will receive an email. The email contains a link to your electronic annual pass, which you can download to your phone. If you are an Apple user, download the annual pass to the 'Wallet' app, and if you are an Android user, download the card to the 'Google Wallet' app. The electronic annual pass is presented on your phone at the entrance for admission.
If you have not received an email or have accidentally deleted the email, please contact our infomail info@aalborgzoo.dk and they will send you a new one as soon as possible.
How do I update my electronic annual pass?
If you are unsure about how to update the expiration date on your electronic annual pass, please visit Zooshoppen at the entrance, where our friendly staff can help you with the problem.
Can I renew my annual pass on the webshop if I don't have a login?
You can log in with the email address you have linked to your membership. If you have never logged in before, click "Forgot your password?" and you will receive an email with a link to create a password. You can then log in to the webshop and renew your annual pass.
Discounts
Is there a pensioner discount at Aalborg Zoo?
No, there is no pensioner discount at Aalborg Zoo.
Is there a student discount at Aalborg Zoo?
Yes, there is a student discount at Aalborg Zoo upon presentation of valid student ID.
Food and grill
Brought food and restaurants.
Can I grill at the Zoo?
Yes, you can grill your food in the barbecue hut by the playground. It is not allowed to bring your own grill in the Zoo.
When are the grills on?
The grills are on from March 26th up to and including the fall holidays.
Can I bring food from home to the Zoo?
You are very welcome to bring your own food to the Zoo. We have tables and benches and covered dining areas in several places in the garden.
Can I buy gluten-free and vegetarian food at the Zoo?
Yes, you can buy gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food at Restaurant Skovbakken.
When are the restaurants and shops in the garden open?
In Aalborg Zoo you will find several different restaurants and shops. We have Zooshoppen, Den Søde Tand, Orangutangshoppen, Restaurant Skovbakken, Butterfly Café, Legepladskiosken, Casa Familia, Penny Lane in the Orangery and the hot dog stand. It is not a given that all the places are open every day and all day at the same time, but you can be sure that it will always be possible to get something to eat at the Zoo.
Parking
Parking opportunities at Aalborg Zoo
Where can I park when visiting Aalborg Zoo?
If you arrive at the Zoo from Hobrovej, you can continue past the main entrance, where there are a number of parking lots. Here you can park for free for up to 5 hours.
If you are by car, you can enter "Aalborg Zoo" on your GPS or our address "Mølleparkvej 63, 9000 Aalborg".
If you arrive in the city by train or bus, you can check the timetable for all buses going to Aalborg Zoo via the travel plan. Keep an eye out for city buses number 1 and number 11, which stop about 500 meters from the entrance.
If you're on foot or by bike, it takes less than half an hour to get to the zoo from the city center.

Is Aalborg Zoo handicap-friendly?
Aalborg Zoo is a member of the Good Access labeling scheme, and we have worked hard to make the zoo easy to navigate for toddlers, the elderly and the disabled.
There is disabled parking at the main entrance. Toilets for the disabled are located at the main entrance and in several places around the garden
Guests with disabilities are welcome to bring their own electric or manual wheelchair. You can also borrow a manual wheelchair for free if you ask the staff at the entrance
Guide dogs, and dogs in general, are very welcome at Aalborg Zoo.
Baby facilities
Information about facilities for babies in Aalborg Zoo
Can I breastfeed in the Zoo?
Yes, you are welcome to breastfeed your baby at Aalborg Zoo. You can breastfeed and nurse in a quiet environment in the breastfeeding room in the Education House at the African Village.
Can I warm a bottle for my baby?
Yes, you can heat bottles and baby food in the Zoo. You will find microwaves for this in the Education House at the African Village.
Can I buy diapers?
No, unfortunately you can't buy diapers from us. Therefore, make sure to bring diapers from home when you visit us.
Luggage trolley og luggage lockers
Rental of luggage trolley.
Is it possible to rent a luggage trolley and luggage box?
You can rent a trolley for DKK 40,- in Zooshoppen. The deposit is DKK 100,- which is refunded when the trolley is returned after use.
We do not have luggage lockers available at the Zoo, and therefore recommend that you do not bring items and bags that you do not need during your visit. In special circumstances, we will of course find a solution.
Forgotten items
Forgotten personal belongings in the garden.
I have forgotten something at the Zoo, what should I do?
If you have forgotten personal belongings in the garden, you can contact Zooshoppen, by email info@aalborgzoo.dk or by phone +45 96312929. As a starting point, all forgotten items are handed in at Zooshoppen, where we have a so-called "forgotten box".

Can I smoke in Aalborg Zoo?
You are not allowed to smoke freely in the garden, as the Zoo is a smoke-free area. We have set up smoking areas at the playground by the big mammoth and by the baboons, where smoking is allowed.
Dogs
Take your dog on a trip to Aalborg Zoo
Can I bring my dog to Aalborg Zoo?
Yes, your dog is more than welcome in the Zoo. Your dog must be on a leash and must not enter the area with goats and kangaroos, as the animals roam freely.
