Can I buy tickets online?

Yes you can, and they are available for purchase here. 

Why haven't we received our tickets?

When you buy a ticket on the webshop, it may take up to 10 minutes before they are dispatched. If it takes longer than this, an error may have occurred, so please contact the office on 9631 2929

I bought my ticket online, do I need to print it before I arrive?

No, you don't need to print the ticket if you can present a barcode ticket on your phone. Please help us at the entrance by having your ticket ready before you get to the checkout.

Is there a pensioner discount at Aalborg Zoo?

No, there is no pensioner discount at Aalborg Zoo. 

Is there a student discount at Aalborg Zoo?

Yes, there is a student discount at Aalborg Zoo upon presentation of a valid student ID.

Takeaway food and garden restaurants.

Can you grill at the Zoo?

Yes, in the barbecue hut by the playground you can grill your own food. You are not allowed to bring your own barbecue to the Zoo.

When are the grills switched on?

The barbecues are on from 26 March until the autumn holidays.

Can I bring food from home to the Zoo?

You are very welcome to bring your own food to the Zoo. We have tables and benches and covered dining areas in several places in the garden.

Can I buy gluten-free and vegetarian food at Zoo?

Yes, you can buy gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan food at Skovbakken.

When are the restaurants and shops in the garden open?

At Aalborg Zoo you will find several different eateries and shops. We have Zooshoppen, Den Søde Tand, Orangutangshoppen, Restaurant Skovbakken, Butterfly Café, Legepladskiosken, Casa Familia, Penny Lane in the Orangery and the hot dog stand. It's not guaranteed that all places will be open every day and all day at the same time, but you can be sure that it will always be possible to get something to eat at the Zoo.

Where can I park when visiting Aalborg Zoo?

If you come to the Zoo from Hobrovej, you can continue past the main entrance, where there are a number of parking spaces. Here you can park for free for up to 5 hours. REMEMBER P-DISCIPLE

If you are travelling by car, you can enter "Aalborg Zoo" or our address "Mølleparkvej 63, 9000 Aalborg" on your GPS.

If you arrive in the city by train or bus, you can check the timetable for all buses travelling to Aalborg Zoo via the travel plan. Look out for city buses number 1 and number 11, which stop approximately 500 metres from the entrance.

Information about Aalborg Zoo's disability facilities

Is Aalborg Zoo wheelchair accessible?

Aalborg Zoo is signed up to the Good Access labelling scheme, and we have done a lot to make the garden easy to navigate for toddlers, the elderly and the disabled.

Disabled parking is available at the main entrance. Disabled toilets are located at the main entrance and in several places around the garden

Guests with disabilities are welcome to bring their own electric or manual wheelchair. You can also borrow a manual wheelchair for free if you ask the staff at the entrance

Guide dogs, and dogs in general, are very welcome at Aalborg Zoo.

Can I use my companion pass at Aalborg Zoo?

Yes, you can use your companion card to enter the garden. If you have a companion card, your carer has free access.

Can I reserve a wheelchair before arrival?

No, you go to the shop on arrival if you need a wheelchair. It is free to borrow a wheelchair at Aalborg Zoo.

Information about facilities for babies at Aalborg Zoo

Can I breastfeed at the Zoo?

Yes, you are welcome to breastfeed your baby at Aalborg Zoo. You can breastfeed and nurse in peaceful surroundings in the breastfeeding room in the Education Centre at the African Village.

Can I warm a bottle for my baby?

Yes, you can heat bottles and baby food at the Zoo. You will find microwaves for this in the Interpretation Centre at the African Village.

Can I buy nappies?

No, unfortunately you cannot buy nappies from us. Therefore, make sure you bring nappies from home when you visit us.

Hire of trolleys

Is it possible to rent a trolley and luggage box?

You can rent a trolley for DKK 40 in the Zooshop. The deposit is DKK 100, which will be refunded when you return the trolley after use. We do not have luggage lockers available at the Zoo and therefore recommend that you do not bring items and bags that you will not need during your visit. In special circumstances, we will of course find a solution.

Forgotten personal belongings in the garden.

I forgot something at the Zoo, what should I do?

If you have left personal belongings in the garden, you can contact the Zooshoppen, by email ([email protected]) or by phone 96312929. As a rule, all forgotten items are handed in at the Zooshop, where we have a so-called "lost and found box".

Can I smoke in Aalborg Zoo?

You are not allowed to smoke freely in the garden, as the Zoo is a smoke-free area. We have set up smoking areas in the playground by the large mammoth and by the baboons, where smoking is allowed.

Can I take my dog to Aalborg Zoo?
Yes, your dog is more than welcome at the Zoo. Dogs must be kept on a lead and are not allowed in the goat, kangaroo and lemur area, as the animals roam freely here.
