The Danish Nature Foundation

Aalborg Zoo has chosen to support The Danish Nature Foundation.

The Danish Nature Foundation works to create a Denmark with more space for animals and plants and where everyone can experience magnificent nature on nature's terms. The foundation works throughout the country and pursues its purpose by purchasing land where nature is restored, cared for and secured for posterity. All purchases are made through voluntary agreements with private landowners.

The Danish Nature Foundation is independent and does not work for special interests. They think and work long-term to create lasting, everlasting values with secure protection of natural assets and a solid foundation for long-term management.

The Danish Nature Foundation is a private foundation founded in 2015.

Aalborg Zoo is a member of Naturfonden's business club Nature business, This helps to safeguard nature, biodiversity and climate for the benefit of animals and plants in Denmark. We support the foundation in the category EG.
