Festive opening of new panda facility, Sherif Haps and Guffe on 21 June
Join us as we open a new, large facility for the red pandas!
21 June is the day when the red pandas can begin to settle into a new environment alongside red deer and Japanese cranes.
Bengt Holst, former Scientific Director of Copenhagen Zoo and Chairman of the Animal Ethics Council, will be responsible for the inauguration of the facility.
You can also enjoy a show with Denmark's craziest cowboy, Sheriff Haps, who is joined by his best friend, Guffe the bird.
Programme:
11:00 am: Sherif haps and Guffe entertain at the Zoofaris Stage
11.30am: Sheriff Haps and Guffe follow everyone down to the new Red Panda facility
11.45am: Bengt Holst, former Scientific Director of Copenhagen Zoo and Chairman of the Animal Ethics Council, opens the new Red Panda facility
12.15 pm: Meet and Greet with Sherif Haps in the square by the orangutan
11-16: Visit the Zoo's interpreters in the square by the Trope House
About Sheriff Haps:
Sherif haps has a great show with music and singing, full of funny gags and ballads.
Sheriff Haps gets help from his best friend: "Guffe" the bird, who helps run the show in the best possible way. As always, Guffe puts a spanner in the works and, much to the amusement of the children, there is a comical interplay between Sheriff Haps and Guffe. However, it always ends well.
It's great entertainment and comedy at children's level. And yes, adults can watch too - with the risk of great entertainment value and exercising their laughter muscles with the kids.
